Brief Description
The SPSO is the final stage for complaints about organisations providing public services in Scotland. We are seeking a person to join our Outreach and Advice Team, which raises awareness, knowledge and understanding of our office with the public and the providers of public services.
Vacancy description
You will represent the SPSO as the first point of contact, handle incoming enquiries and provide relevant, up to date information and advice on the SPSO to all stakeholders and contribute to the effectiveness and success of the Outreach and Advice Team, and the organisation as a whole.
You will have a minimum of two years experience of working in a frontline, customer-facing role, ideally in complaint handling in a public service organisation under our jurisdiction. You will have good knowledge and experience in a customer services environment and excellent communication and organisational skills.
Skills
Customer services/complaints handling administration.
Good knowledge and experience of legislation, developments and precedent in one or more of the areas of the Ombudsman’s jurisdiction. Good knowledge of support agencies.
Qualifications
Educated to higher level or equivalent or equivalent experience
Experience
A minimum of two year’s relevant experience of working in a frontline customer-facing role. Good knowledge and experience in customer services environment
