The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Government Procurement Service and Ordnance Survey expired on 31st October 2010.
A recent review of the pricing and licensing terms of Ordnance Survey data and the launch of OpenData, which makes available a number of Ordnance Survey datasets at no cost at the point of use, means that data is now more widely available to public sector organisations.
A new Public Sector Mapping Agreement (PSMA) has been negotiated between Ordnance Survey and Communities and Local Government (CLG) which will be available to central government, local government, health and education sectors in England and Wales from April 2011.
For further information on the Public Sector Mapping Agreement (PSMA) please refer to the Ordnance Survey website:
Government Procurement Service also offers a Geographical Information Services framework agreement which provides a range of mapping solutions.
