AddThis for Joomla!
AddThis provides two extensions for Joomla! The module adds an AddThis button to the template of the page, usually in the sidebar. The plugin allows you to add the button to the body of the page where the article is shown. We recommend installing and using only one. Both are fully customizable.
Don't forget to register for an AddThis.com account to see how your visitors are sharing your content: which services they're using for sharing, which content is shared the most, and more.
Plugin
To install the plugin:
- Download install file below
- From your Joomla! Administration screen, select Extensions > Install/Uninstall
- Under "Upload Package File", select "Browse" and select the file you downloaded in step 1
- Click "Upload File & Install"
- Select Extensions > Plugin Manager
- Locate the "Content - AddThis" plugin in the list and click the X in the "enabled" column to active the plugin
- To customize the button, click the plugin name and set the options on the right; click "Save" when you are finished

Module
To install the module:
- Download install file below
- From your Joomla! Administration screen, select Extensions > Install/Uninstall

- Select Extensions > Module Manager
- Locate the "AddThis" module in the list and click the X in the "enabled" column to active the module
- To customize the button, click the module name and set the options on the right; click "Save" when you are finished
