Modified papers tool

The Modified papers tool is no longer available because the new release of Access arrangements online combines access arrangements and modified paper requests.

What are modified papers?

Modified papers are individually prepared for candidates whose vision or hearing is impaired. Creating modified papers involves additional resources, so you must order them well in advance of each exam series.

How do I order modified papers?

Modified papers can now be ordered through the updated Access arrangements online (AAO) system. Combining access arrangements and modified paper requests helps to further reduce the administrative burden for exam centres. This single, user-friendly system has the following benefits:

  • A single table for candidate data, allowing you to search for AAO and/or modified paper information on candidate(s).
  • Improved searching and reporting for centres.
  • It is simple to use and incorporates many of the existing features that centres are familiar with.

Transferring from the old system

Centres will need to transfer information from the old Modified papers tool onto the new AAO system. To enable centres to do this, the pages on the Modified papers tool will be read-only until December 2010.

Please continue to register all existing AAO candidates on the new AAO system.

For more information on the new release of AAO, please see our quick guide.

For further information please contact the relevant awarding bodies or email info@qcda.gov.uk

You can access the read-only Modified papers tool through the awarding body websites.
