The forums on this site are designed for those considering teaching or already in the profession to exchange ideas, best practice and information.
Be polite when using the forums. Aggressive or spiteful behaviour will not be tolerated.
No illegal or offensive content may be posted. Harassing, insulting, abusive, threatening, harmful, obscene, profane, sexual, sexist, racially offensive or otherwise objectionable material is unacceptable.
If you use multiple logins for the purpose of disrupting the Community or annoying other users you may have action taken against your accounts. Advertising is only allowed in the Job Talk forum. Any form of advertising found elsewhere will be deleted or moved to this area if relevant. We do not allow spamming (repeatedly posting the same message a number of times) and such messages will be deleted. Keep to the topic. The forum categories have been set up so that you can post topical messages; so try not to post off-topic material. Impersonating other users is strictly prohibited and will be severely dealt with.
Inappropriate use of other people's usernames will result in the offender being banned from the forums. Users may refer to and recommend other websites, but if your messages contain the addresses of inappropriate or offensive websites, action will be taken against you. Deliberate or inappropriate use of the administrator's email address may lead to action being taken against your account. We promise never to censor a discussion because we don't happen to agree with it, or to edit a post in any way that changes the views expressed in it.
Ensure that you act in a responsible manner when building relationships with other members of the Community. If you decide to meet with other members, always do so in a public place. It is also advisable to make your arrangements known to a family member or friend.
By registering with the forums, you agree to only post materials which are your own original work. You may not violate or infringe the rights of third parties (including copyright, trademark, trade-secret, privacy, personal, publicity, or proprietary rights).
Should you be found to be contravening these rules, action will be taken against your account which could lead to a warning, banning or legal action depending on the seriousness of your actions.
