Consultation on Changes to Diploma Regulation

We are consulting on changes to the regulatory requirements for the 14–19 Diploma.

This will only affect those that start this qualification from September 2012 – none of the proposed changes will have an impact on current students.

We intend to make the changes we set out in our consultation because the systems that underpin the operation of Diploma need to change. This consultation is about the way in which the qualification is delivered. We do not have any major concerns about the standard of the Diploma.

We will change our regulatory requirements based on the outcomes of the consultation. At this point awarding organisations will determine the ways in which they wish to continue to deliver this qualification or whether they want to continue to offer it under the new arrangements.
