SEAL Development Group 2006–7

SEAL school development groups are an important part of the National Strategies approach to the implementation of SEAL. They were designed to encourage continuous exploration and development to extend, adapt and develop SEAL in response to local and national needs.

Local authorities were encouraged to work collaboratively to develop SEAL approaches within their LAs. They were given an opportunity to express an interest in additional funding to produce material that might be shared with colleagues at national and local events and be distributed through the website.

The groups were selected that showed their proposals:

  • Built upon current work
  • Linked to local strategic priorities
  • Had clear aims and outcomes
  • Could demonstrate LA support
  • Met key priorities within the National Strategies annual plan for 2006-7

The materials that you will find on this section of the website have been created by the members of SEAL school development groups themselves and represent their views.
