Brief Description

To provide administrative support for the Director, Governance and other members of the Governance team in providing an effective and efficient governance and secretariat function to the Arts Council.

Please note that the Arts Council is a Non Departmental Public Body with separate terms and benefits from other Civil Service departments; therefore this is not an internal secondment.

Salary: £18,180 per annum plus excellent benefits

Contract type: Permanent working 35 hours per week


We are looking for an enthusiastic and competent administrator to support the Governance team. Responsibilities include providing administrative support to the team - including planning and event-managing business meetings, collating and distributing papers and providing support and advice to national council members.

You should have proven experience of providing good administrative support including minute taking, diary management and record keeping. You should also have good attention to detail as well as good inter-personal and communication skills.
