Parliamentary under secretary for crime and security

James Brokenshire is parliamentary under secretary of state responsible for crime and security.

He is the Member of Parliament for Old Bexley and Sidcup and was previously Member of Parliament for Hornchurch and Rainham.

In 2006 he joined the shadow Cabinet as shadow minister for home affairs.

He has campaigned on issues such as crime, asylum and immigration and keeping healthcare facilities at his local hospital.

Before becoming involved in politics, James was a partner at a large international law firm.

He is married and has three children.
