This guidance has been produced to take account of the progression within the Mathematics Primary Framework to secure appropriately high expectations for all pupils working well below national expectations, including those identified with SEN/LDD. The guidance exemplifies existing aspects of the Mathematics Framework and will support both the planning and teaching of mathematics for pupils working well below age-related levels in both special and mainstream schools.
