'Observation, Assessment and Planning' is one of the commitments to the EYFS principle of 'Enabling Environments'. The explanation of the commitment includes planning starting with the child through observation and using observation to form evaluations and assessments. The summative assessment is the EYFS profile made for each child at the end of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
