Unit 9: Attendance

This toolkit contains three distinct packages, for staff, pupil and parent/carer involvement, to assist schools in reviewing and developing their attendance policies, including:

  • developing and managing effective data collect systems
  • developing systems to celebrate regular attendance and punctuality throughout the day
  • ensuring that pupils feel valued and are motivated to attend
  • developing relationships with pupils who are regular non-attenders
  • helping parents and carers to work in partnership with the school to solve attendance problems.
