Improving the use of ICT in the Foundation Stage: Lewisham

Rationale

  • Date: Feb 2007
  • Focus: Using ICT to make observations of children in learning contexts that would lead to electronic records and feed into the Foundation Stage Profile.
  • Number in series: 10
  • Phase: Early Years
  • Key Stage: Foundation Stage
  • Local authority: Lewisham

We set out to trial a range of ICT equipment for practitioners to use in their classrooms in order to make observations of children in learning contexts that would ultimately lead to electronic records and feed into the Foundation Stage Profile.

In total the project supported three primary schools, one nursery school, one children's centre and one playgroup. The project involved a total of ten practitioners.
