Secondary Stronger Management Systems (SMS) is a set of school improvement materials that can help secondary schools develop more effective management systems and processes. The five elements of Secondary SMS can support your cycle of school self-evaluation and can help you:

Structure
Secondary SMS is based on a quality management framework. It supports self-assessment that is related to key elements of effective school improvement.
Each element contains:
- an introduction to explain its relevance and importance
- Quality Standards to support self-assessment, help your school clarify what it does well and identify possible next steps for improvement
- exemplification showing what good practice looks like in relation to the element, including examples of materials, templates and processes
- professional development activities to help your school achieve the Quality Standards.
