APP in mathematics: Focused assessment materials – Level 8

These resources are based on the Assessing Pupils' Progress (APP) assessment criteria. You can find examples of what pupils should be able to do and probing questions to ask to assess their progress. 

The examples illustrate the range and pitch of mathematics at level 8, and you can use the probing questions in lessons to help secure your assessment judgements.
