Designing a production of As You Like It

Assessment focuses: AF2, AF3, AF5, AF7

Context

As part of an extended project related to As You Like It, the class spent several lessons participating in a range of practical activities to explore different interpretations of the play. They then produced a model stage design for the court and the forest that reflected the themes and the language of the text and supported their interpretation of the play. Pupils wrote up their ideas in note form to support a presentation explaining their ideas to the director.

Reading Assessment on 'As you like it'

A pupil's assessment on designing of Shakespeare's play 'As you like it' has been displayed through his own hand writing.

Reading Assessment on a play

A pupil's observations from a play have been captured in his handwriting. The pupil has infered specific things from a Shakespeare play that refers to Elizabethan times. Minute observation like the need of a clock in a court room and it's non-usability in a forest has been displayed.
