Unit S7: Developing an exam question – Probability

This secondary mathematics unit provides lesson activities that help pupils to:

  • use past examination questions creatively
  • understand and use estimates of probability from theoretical models
  • list all outcomes for two successive events
  • identify mutually exclusive outcomes and know that the sum of the probabilities of all these outcomes is one.

It also offers a guide to planning and running the activities.

Session time: about 1 hour.
