Strategic Commissioning

Strategic Commissioning was the 2009-11 cultural learning programme that:

Strengthened partnerships through increasing opportunities for museums and archives to build sustainable collaborations with other cultural organisations, the education sector and other learning providers.

Built excellence in the sector through improving quality and reach of education and social inclusion work and building a stronger understanding of the expectations of partners in the broader learning and education sectors.

Built capacity and economic sustainability by improving efficiency, management capacity and collaboration, impacting on resources and the development of and access to new skills and expertise.

Exemplary and sustainable programmes that stimulate and challenge children and young people through collections.
