In North Yorkshire, BDUK is working with the county council and with NyNet in the delivery of the pilot project. NyNet is a public and private sector venture, owned by the county council, created in order to provide a communications network that is capable of delivering multiple high quality services to citizens, business and public sector bodies.
We expect to be able to start and open public procurement for the pilot in early 2011.
BDUK are currently working with the pilot team in North Yorkshire to agree the scope of the project. As details of the pilot project are agreed, we will be publishing the information here.
