Now open for Assessment: Part B in Voluntary Sector Workforce Development

22/07/10

We’re pleased to announce the availability of a new Part B in Voluntary Sector Workforce Development. Written in partnership with Skills-Third Sector (www.skills-thirdsector.org.uk), the guidance (which was recently made available here) will be of interest to anyone that delivers training to charities, social enterprises and other not for profit organisations. Using the Skills-Third Sector footprint, organisations looking to achieve Part B Certification in Voluntary Sector Workforce Development will offer training to employers in one or more of the following areas:

  • Campaigning; advocacy; and/or fundraising
  • Supporting people other organisations don`t reach
  • Delivering better services
  • Setting up and running social businesses
  • Innovating (cutting edge practices pioneered by the third sector can be adopted and mainstreamed by other sectors)

Interested applicants can register and apply for assessment immediately. Further information can also be obtained by contacting the TQS helpline on 0845 225 1310 or contacting the Certification Bodies whose contact details can be viewed here.

Note: All Part B guidance documents are designed to assist applicants` thinking when developing their application-for-assessment. To view a list of all Part B areas open for assessment, please visit the Part B Guidance Documents page within the Documents section of the TQS website. More general guidance on applying for the Training Quality Standard can be found on the website here.
