Statement of changes

1. The purpose of this amendment is to:

reflect a new delegation giving departments and agencies the authority to determine all allowances for members of the Senior Civil Service. This will be subject to conditions set out in the Code (see below);

(ii) set out the rules for operating the Senior Civil Service pay system

which will apply for 1997/98; and

set out the rules on the payment of allowances for members of the Senior Civil Service which will operate from I April 1997.
