Brief Description

Provide a service to the IT Development Manager to carry out testing, test management and automated testing.

Vacancy description

Key accountabilities


• Provide a service to the IT Solutions Manager to identify automation requirements & solutions
• Design & automate test suites in QTP to a sufficient standard so that they are robust, uncomplicated and can be maintained in a straightforward fashion.
• Maintain existing system & automation tests to adapt to changes in application suites.
• Work with the ITSS Manager to prioritise automated testing schedule so as to protect project & Business As Usual deliverables
• Maintain & execute existing regression tests using WinRunner via the Functional Test suite on Windows client server executable based system.
• On occasion provide manual systems testing skills to assist the ITSS team or business UAT team when necessary.
• Commitment to quality delivery
• Liaise with test analysts from implementation partners in order to carry out end-to-end testing of business processes

Essential skills and experience


• Testing Interfaces between organisations
• Testing COTS packages
• Proven QTP experience
• Demonstrate clear and structured thinking in test design
• Demonstrate clear & structured thinking in test planning
• Ability to work within multiple parallel testing disciplines
 

Qualifications

Desirable skills


• MS SQL
• Knowledge/awareness of .net
• Knowledge of document management & contact management systems
• Knowledge of Team Foundation Server
• Experience of Test Driven Development
