Fly a kite
Buy a kite (it doesn’t have to be expensive), or have a look online for instructions on making one and head to an open space like a park. Take turns flying and running along with the kite, see who can get it the highest.

Go on a walk to the woods, you could make a list of things to spot, like birds, squirrels or types of tree to make it more fun.

Make a map and give the kids clues that will lead them to the treasure, which could be a small toy like a yo-yo or Frisbee, or a pirate medal. Why not try it outdoors too?

Make a dance routine
Make up a dance routine to a song – it’s a great way to get them using their imagination and moving around – it’s great fun too. Get them to perform it for you at the end of the day.

Recycle Bowling
Play with 6 or 10 empty plastic bottle or milk containers (you may need to weigh them down by putting some water or rice in them.) Line them up and throw a tennis ball or a rolled up sock at them, see how many you can knock down.
