10% bio-ethanol petrol will be permitted from 2011 and marketed before 2020. There may be fuel system compatability issues. Maintaining 0% bio-ethanol petrol for vintage cars should be considered; 5% bio-ethanol should continue for cars unable to run on 10% bio-ethanol petrol. Vehicle manufacturers should prepare lists of vehicles that can run on 10% bio-ethanol petrol, but in case of doubt, owners should contact their vehicle manufacturer. Carburettor icing is not expected to be a problem.
