support at the right time. There is a wide range of programmes
to help businesses innovate and grow.
If you plan to research and develop new
products or services, you can get free information and advice and
may also be eligible to apply for financial support, in the form of
an R&D grant. These grants cover research and development of
new technologies and innovative products or processes.
A number of schemes exist, provided by a range of organisations,
to help companies innovate and grow. These include specialist
networks, dedicated facilities, skills development programmes and
tax relief.
South West RDA business support
Most business support is provided by the private sector.
However, the South West
RDA has worked with government to identify specific issues
where publicly-funded business support can complement this
provision. This support has been simplified to cover 7 key
