01 Improving workforce health & safety

Paul Mitchell

The National H&S Team’s purpose is the provision of timely, useful and authoritative advice to the business to enable successful health and safety management. The portfolio supports this by providing technical support and research to:

  • Supporting the Traffic Officer Service in relation to the management of health and safety risks raised by management or through the trade union Whitley committee structure.
  • Enabling the Agency to achieve its AFZ goal to be considered as an Exemplar Client in terms of our client and designer activities under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations. Assisting the business to ensure legal compliance and to move towards world class health and safety management in our policies, systems, operations, monitoring and audit activities.
