Main areas of involvement in the low carbon transport agenda

Automotive Mechatronics provides Tier 1 supplier commercial off the shelf (COTS) electronic control units together with complimentary services for future low carbon and hybrid electric vehicles.

These electronic control units can be used for managing the engine, transmission, motor, battery and all other vehicle systems. Traditionally, engineers have built a prototype control unit for demonstration purposes and then had to repeat the development cycle for production. With our development toolkit, COTS electronic control units can be used for both prototyping and production. This means the development cycle is performed once and hardware costs are reduced. Whether one demonstrator vehicle is being considered or production of 100,000 units per annum, the hardware and development cycle is the same.

Our services include system integration, bespoke consultancy and training. Software algorithms are developed and calibrated to meet specific markets. Software verification and validation is also provided for safety critical applications.
