Our volunteers will make the Games happen, so we call them London 2012 Games Makers.

Young Games Maker programme announced

More than 2,000 16-18 year olds will have the opportunity to be Young Games Makers, volunteering in a number of different roles during the 2012 Games. Applications, for teams of young people, open for the majority roles on 22 September 2011. Find out more about Young Games Makers

Update for Games Maker applicants

Shortlisted Games Maker applicants have been attending selection events since February and we’ve been really impressed with the levels of enthusiasm and commitment of potential volunteers so far. Don’t worry if you haven’t heard from us yet – we need to interview a staggering 100,000 people, and that takes time. We’ll be interviewing right through until early 2012, so please be patient – we’ll give you at least a month’s notice if we’d like you to attend a selection event.

In the meantime, don't forget to log in to the Games Maker zone for news and updates, and to manage your application.
