Door to Door: a travel guide for disabled people
Who we are
The information on this website was originally provided by 'Tripscope' a registered charity established in 1987, which was the UK's main travel advice and transport information service for disabled people until lack of funding forced it to close in March 2006. Following closure of the charity, arrangements were made by the Disabled Persons Transport Advisory Committee (DPTAC).
More information on the Committee can be found on the website. Useful transport and travel information for disabled people and less mobile people can also be found within DPTAC's publication Handy Travel Hints.
Disclaimer: This website gives information on where to go for travel advice and information in England only, but suggestions and tips can be used by all. Those starting their journeys in other parts of the UK may wish to consider contacting the relevant transport department for advice.
