Replacement of Catalytic Converters and Diesel Particulate Filters

The Motor Vehicles Regulations 2009 (SI 2009 No. 1899) and the Motor Cycle Regulations 2009 (SI 2009 No.1896) came into effect on 13th August 2009. The Motor Vehicles Legislation controls the sale and installation of replacement catalytic converters and diesel particulate filters for cars and light vans. The Motor Cycles Regulations control the sale and installation of replacement catalytic converters for two and three wheeled vehicles.

VCA has been appointed to enforce the legislation. An information leaflet has been produced to explain the legislation and the role VCA will play, this can be accessed below. If you would like to speak to someone at VCA about this please contact: (Tel: +44 (0)1179 524222).
