All applicants can request consideration for posts on a part time basis.
We have one of the biggest home-based workforces in the public sector with over half of our staff with home as their main base when they are not out in the field inspecting or undertaking regulatory visits.
Ofsted is committed to improving working conditions and support for our existing and future home-based workers, and becoming a beacon public sector organisation for home-based working. We ensure that all home-based workers have access to appropriate equipment and receive personal and job support so that they feel part of the organisation.
Our four offices are based in London, Bristol, Nottingham and Manchester. Posts advertised will show clearly where they are located, and whether they are office or home-based.
