Our commitment to diversity.
We take our responsibilities in Diversity and Inclusion very seriously, not just because it makes good business sense to get the best from our workforce but because it's the right thing to do for our business, our colleagues, our industry and society in general. We are looking to make further improvements in many areas, as you will see in our policies and plans, but we believe we are heading in the right direction.

You can view our latest annual report on Diversity below. It was developed in consultation with employees, via consultation forums and working groups. It describes the key actions we have taken in the last 12 months to advance Diversity at the CAA and sets out our plans for the next 12 months.
Our plan for 2009/10 is divided into 4 themes:
This Scheme sets out our commitment to disabled people, our approach to addressing disability equality and our plans for achieving an accessible organisation for all. In developing this Scheme we consulted across the CAA and researched best practice. We are committed to working in an inclusive way by considering the needs of disabled people in all of our activities. In developing this Scheme, we have considered guidance from the former Disability Rights Commission.
This Scheme also sets out the framework which the CAA will use to promote equality for and prevent discrimination against disabled people, as our employees, users of our services and as members of the community, subject to the paramount need to maintain a high standard of aviation safety.
