Passion for Learning and Development

Learning and Development (L&D) is an emerging CSSE project that aims to deliver and promote L&D in a way that compliments the existing initiatives of Government Departments, Next Generation HR L&D and the National School of Government.

Cross Departmental Action Learning Sets

Action Learning Sets (ALS) is a method of collaborative learning where a small group of learners meet regularly to reflect on real work issues. Its basic philosophy is that the most effective learning takes place when we are faced with a real problem to solve. CSSE aims to broker and facilitate locally based, cross departmental ALS for senior staff.

An Action Learning Sets fact sheet has been produced by the Ministry of Justice.

Cross Departmental Mentoring Scheme

A timely initiative that supports leaders and emerging leaders through transformational change by providing cost effective development for the mentee, mentor and individual department.
