Onlookers Vigilance Saves Fishing Crew

Just after nine oclock this morning Humber Coastguard received a 999 call from a member of the public at Berwick-upon-Tweed, reporting what they believed to be two people waving from an upturned vessel approximately one mile offshore. Berwick Coastguard Rescue Team was called out and both Berwick RNLI lifeboats were requested to launch. read more..

Three Men and an Inflatable Boat Rescued Off Burnham-on-sea

Swansea Coastguard sent the Burnham-on-Sea Coastguard Rescue Team, requested the two Burnham-on-Sea lifeboats to launch and requested the Portland Coastguard helicopter to scramble this afternoon after receiving a report from the beach warden at Burnham-on-Sea that three men were being swept out to sea on an inflatable dinghy. Humber Coastguard warns the public to be aware of old World War unexploded ordnance. The ordnance may be washed up or exposed on shorelines along the north east coast and they ask the public to contact the Coastguard immediately. read more..

Springer Spaniel Rescued After Cliff Fall

At 2:30pm, Humber Coastguard received a call from the North Yorkshire Police informing them of a Springer Spaniel dog that had fallen over the cliffs at Flamborough Head. Soon afterwards a 999 call was received from a highly distressed lady, who was the owner of the 12 year old dog.  read more..
