Over 150 civil servants from a wide range of departments and grades, across East of England attended the event.  As well as listening to speakers staff had a unique opportunity to network with colleagues across departments and to visit a range of market stalls offering information on a variety of themes from civil service organisations, with particular emphasis on health & wellbeing and chances to consider a range of different volunteering options.

It was the first of a series of around 12 roadshows to be held across the region, over the next three months.  The aim of the roadshows is to publicise the programme and reach as many people as possible in East of England and engage with you all to take this exciting initiative forward.

The event was opened by Paul Pugh, Regional Director GO-East, followed by a key note speech from Barbara Follett, MP.  David Bell Whitehall Champion for CSEE Programme provided an over view of the four core areas initially being taken forward:

Open Vacancy Offer

Fast Steam Opportunities

Estates & Facility sharing

Sir Gus O'Donnell provided the closing address followed by a Question & Answer session.
