Thank you for visiting the Office for National Statistics Measuring National Well-being Debate website.

This website is now closed for comments; the debate ran from 25 November 2010 until 15 April 2011.

You can view the comments and the blog posts that have been published here until 30 April 2011. After 30 April, this site will be taken offline. If you try to access the site after 30 April you will be redirected to the ONS website where you will find up-to-date information about the Measuring National Well-being Programme.

The Measuring National Well-being Programme team will now collate and analyse the many thousands of responses received. This debate has been engaging and thought provoking for all involved. The results will go a long way in enabling us to develop new measures of national well-being and we would like to thank everyone who has contributed to the debate.

National Statistician Jil Matheson will publish her report on this phase of the programme in the summer, along with information about how the new measures will be taken forward.
