Values
The Civil Service supports the Government in developing and implementing its policies, and in delivering public services. This means we're accountable to the public and need to meet the highest possible standards in all that we do. Our core values reflect this.
Core values and the Civil Service Code
Civil servants are expected to commit to our core values: integrity, honesty, objectivity and impartiality.
The Civil Service Code sets out the way civil servants should carry out their work, based on these values.
The Four Ps
The values are also supported by the Four Ps. We make sure that pride, pace, passion and professionalism apply to all aspects of our work.
Diversity
We also do everything we can to encourage diversity in the Civil Service. Having a diverse workforce means we represent the society we serve, making us a more effective and relevant organisation.
