SkillsActive are looking for a Research Programme Manager on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract to cover Maternity Leave.
Working within the research team you will focus on producing authoritative, robust and up to date Labour Market Intelligence (LMI) for our annual Sector Skills Assessments and other research projects to underpin qualification and standards development, employer engagement, and the evaluation of new initiatives.
You will be responsible for developing and delivering a PR and Communications strategy to maintain and build upon SummitSkills' exceptional relationships with stakeholder audiences in the sector.
This is a high profile role within the organisation, and you will manage internal resource and external agencies to deliver UK-wide initiatives, and lead the communications function to position SummitSkills as a voice of authority in the sector.
You will be responsible for the planning and delivery of SummitSkills' event calendar that includes the annual conference, training awards, skills competitions, careers fairs, and employer engagement meetings.
The role will also include producing literature and website administration linked to these events, and management of event invitees and delegates on our CRM system.
The successful candidate will have 1-2 years experience of event management across the UK, with strong organisation, negotiation and planning skills. Please note this role will require some travel and days away from home supporting the delivery of events.
