Apprenticeship Frameworks
Lifelong Learning UK is responsible for establishing and maintaining apprenticeship frameworks for the lifelong learning workforce in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. This involves working with our employers and other stakeholders to develop frameworks, promote them, keep them up to date and issue apprenticeship certificates.
Apprenticeships are available to learners of all ages and are available across different sectors of the UK economy and in a range of sizes and levels. An apprenticeship contains a number of components all of which must be successfully completed before an apprenticeship certificate can be issued.
New SASE/W Apprenticeships in England and Wales are now available
The Apprenticeships, Skills, Children and Learning (ASCL) Act introduces the Specification of Apprenticeship Standards for England (SASE) and the Specification of Apprenticeship Standards for Wales (SASW). We have redeveloped our apprenticeship frameworks in England and Wales to meet these new standards. We are now pleased to offer new SASE and SASW compliant apprenticeship frameworks Youth Work (YW) and Libraries, Archives, Records and Information Management Services (LARIMS).
Please use the links to the left of this page to access these frameworks and supporting documentation.
