Information about public data published by the Home Office as part of the transparency initiative.
Datasets have been divided into topics and can be found by following the links below. Please note that this page is under development and some of the data sets listed may have been updated.
This page is the first step toward meeting the recommendations in the Power of Information Taskforce Report. ‘The government should ensure that public information data sets are easy to find and use. The government should create a place or places online where public information can be stored and maintained (a 'repository') or its location and characteristics listed (an online catalogue)’ - Recommendation 14.
The aim of the page is to facilitate easier access to data sets published by the Home Office, its agencies, and non-departmental public bodies (NDPBs), irrespective of where the data is published on the websites.
The Research, Development and Statistics (RDS) website includes a large part of the Home Office’s official statistics, which are published as part of the National Statistics work programme, in line with the code of practice for official statistics.
View the UK National Statistics calendar of statistical releases (new window) and information on compliance with National Statistics protocols on the RDS website.
