Other sources of funding?

Occasionally, Natural England receives applications for grant aid where projects are more in line with the aims of another organisation. On other occasions only part of your project will further Natural Englands' aims, and therefore, only part of your project will be eligible for funding by us.

You may want to apply to other sources for grant-aid. The following bodies are a selection of those which make grants to environmental projects.

Publicly funded bodies

English Heritage
Restoring or maintaining historical landscape features such as veteran trees in sites on their Register of Historic Parklands.

Forestry Commission
Tree planting and woodland restoration and maintenance schemes.

Heritage Lottery Fund

Other bodies

The regulator of the Landfill Communities Fund

The Prince's Countryside Fund
Helping improve the long-term sustainability of the British countryside and its rural communities.

Grants Online
Information on grants from the European Union, UK Government, Lottery and grant making trusts.
