Pride in the Estates

Helen Ghosh

The aim of the Estates project is to provide fewer, better buildings for the South East by joining up our use of government buildings across the region to improve working environments for civil servants, increase sustainability, efficiency and value for money and to improve service delivery to the public.  We are working on a coordinated strategy for estates management in the South East, examining the estates need of each government department and mapping their needs to the current estate.  This should provide a more corporate and joined up approach to government estates activities within the region, break down the current departmental silos, provide an efficient way of working with fewer but better buildings and reduce the overall cost to the taxpayer.
