Vision and plans for Operational Delivery

The Operational Delivery Profession is led by Lesley Strathie, cross-government Head of Operational Delivery Profession and Chief Executive and Permanent Secretary at HM Revenue & Customs. Lesley's vision for the profession is:

  • for people working in operational delivery to be recognised and valued as professionals

  • to have transferable skills that are recognised and respected across government and the wider economy

  • to achieve parity of status against the more established professions.

The Operational Delivery workplan was developed in 2008 and not only sets out the strategic objectives for the development of the profession, but also the work programme that will help achieve these objectives.

On the Operational Delivery webpages, you can find out more about the profession, whether you belong to the Operational Delivery community, or if you are merely interested in the profession and looking for further information.
