Yorkshire & The Humber

Andrew Richardson is the Regional Manager for Yorkshire and the Humber.

Andrew joined Capacitybuilders from Mencap, where he was a Regional Partnership Coordinator for their Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities team - a role that involved raising awareness, sharing best practice, and campaigning locally and nationally on behalf of some of the most excluded people in society.

Prior to this, Andrew worked in numerous managerial roles within retail, business and commercial banking across Yorkshire and the Humber.

It was volunteering with his local Mencap society, supporting people with learning disabilities, which prompted him to change career three years ago.

Regional stakeholder event

Working in partnership with the BIG Lottery Fund, Capacitybuilders hosted Valuing What We Do' on 18 February 2010 in Leeds.  This invite only event brought together Capacitybuilders' and BASIS grant holders and other regional stakeholders to share learning and best practice.

Further details about this event are available in the events archive.
