Press Briefings
Press briefings, or lobby briefings, are held each day that Parliament is sitting at 11:00 and 15:45 GMT/BST by the Prime Minister's Spokesman (PMS). During Parliamentary recess there is one briefing a week, usually on a Monday morning.
The PMS answers questions from journalists on current news topics and may also use the opportunity to give out information the media need to know.
