Mayoral election

London Elections-PolaroidThere are 13 directly elected Mayors in the UK, from London to Hartlepool.  Elections for Mayor are often exciting local affairs, with colourful personalities clashing on issues relevant to their area.  Boris Johnson, former 'robocop' Ray Mallon, and a local football mascot, H'Angus the Monkey are just some of the characters to serve as elected Mayors.

We don't have many materials specifically relating to Mayoral elections at the moment, but you might like to visit our campaigns page to see what we did around the London Mayoral election campaign in 2008, one of our most successful campaigns ever.
