Freedom of Information (FOI)

We embrace the openness of the Freedom of Information Act by publishing information about our activities on our website and in our publications.

The Freedom of Information Act

The Freedom of Information Act requires public authorities to:

  • maintain a publication scheme and make this publicly available
  • respond to requests from the public for information
  • put in place systems to manage records effectively.

Our publication scheme commits QCDA to make information available to the public as part of our normal business activities.

Learn more about freedom of information on the Information Commissioner's Office website

FOI requests and queries should be addressed to:

Freedom of information and data protection officer
QCDA
53- 55 Butts Road
Earlsdon Park
Coventry CB1 3BH

Or you can email infocompliance@qcda.gov.uk.

Complaints

If you have a complaint about how QCDA has responded to your request for information please write to:

Freedom of information and data protection officer
QCDA
53- 55 Butts Road

In the first instance we will try to resolve your complaint informally. If this is not possible, we will carry out an internal review of our response to your request, as required by the Code of Practice made under Section 45 of the Freedom of Information Act . We normally aim to complete internal reviews within 20 working days.

Data Protection Act

The Data Protection Act gives you the right to see information that an organisation holds about you. It also requires the organisation holding personal information to comply with the eight data protection principles. Learn more about data protection on the Information Commissioner's Office website.

To make requests for your personal information and for queries about data protection issues within QCDA please write to:
