I was disappointed to see that Wheels to Work (W2W) Projects were not mentioned in the State of the Countryside Report 2010 despite being highlighted in your Understanding Economic Wellbeing Report this year. The 50 or so W2W scheme around the country are a key factor in trying to overcome transport barriers to enable people in rural areas access work and training.
Shropshire W2W was the first project in the country and has been running for 15 years and is widely relied upon by employment agencies (eg JCP, Connexions etc) in Shropshire to provide transport support, especially for young people. If you require any more information please contact me.
