Enduring Power of Attorney (EPA)

Currently, where there are no problems with the application to register, we would expect to return your registered EPA within 9 weeks of receiving it.

Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA)

Currently, we would expect to return your registered LPA within 13 weeks of receiving it where there are no problems with the application to register.

This is made up of the following:

  • 2 weeks to process applications and issue notices to relevant parties;
  • 6 weeks statutory waiting period during which objections to registration can be made and;
  • 5 weeks to despatch final registered documents if no objections are received.

We are currently experiencing an exceptionally high level of applications for Lasting Powers of Attorney.

We are working hard to process the high volumes of applications received and sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Please take these revised turn around times into consideration before calling us to discuss the progress of your application.

This page of our website - and our current performance position - is reviewed and updated weekly.
