Message from Peter Davies, Chief Executive

Monday 29 November. Peter Davies, formerly the Assistant Chief Constable of Lincolnshire, has today taken up his post as the new Chief Executive of the Child Exploitation and Online Protection (CEOP) Centre. He said:

“I am absolutely delighted to be taking charge of CEOP.  This is a challenging time for all public services and I think we are well positioned to meet our challenges. Doing so will be vital because as everyone acknowledges CEOP plays a unique and highly valuable role in safeguarding children and young people; that must not only be sustained but built upon if we are to do the very best we can.

“I’d like to pay tribute to Jim Gamble who has just departed as Chief Executive. CEOP would possibly not exist today without his drive, determination and vision.

“It’s a real privilege to be leading an organisation full of such diverse and multi-talented people, working on such a vital aspect of public protection.  I approach it with absolute respect for our people’s professional skills, knowledge and commitment and look forward to dedicating mine to the same cause."

About CEOP
